My interest in photography started as a result of my love and passion for wildlife, as a child I would spend time reading up on wildlife, looking at wildlife documentaries I was totally absorbed and fascinated by the amazing creatures we share our planet with.

It was then in my childhood years that I decided to get involved with conservation and one day spend my life in the bush surrounded by nature and wildlife. This was rather a distant  dream that seemed  far beyond my reach as I  was born and raised in Durban one of South Africa's larger cities. 

Today I have been more than ten years in the industry and qualified with a level 3 SKS Dangerous animals FGASA (Field guide association of South Africa) diploma. I have worked at Shamwari Game Reserve situated in the Eastern Cape for more than eight years and have been involved with not only guiding but also the graphic side photographing and supplying images for marketing material to images showcased on the official website www.shamwari.com. 

It has been while working as a game ranger that I started taking a keen interest in photography and studying the fundamentals in my own capacity while working as a guide. I have not only photographed wildlife and  landscapes but also started photographing 5 star lodges as well, spending at times more than two hours waiting for the right light. Although admittedly my passion is wildlife and nature in all its forms.
